The Great Circus Murder Part 9



Murder investigations, grand jury inquiries, and trials are all in this episode of Real Crime. It appears the note has the same handwriting as a note that appeared a few years earlier when a man was hung and his body tossed in the local lake. Crazy shit going on in North Carolina!

And for a final bit, I read a Western Union telegram written by Clyde Barrow, leader of the Barrow Gang, and lover of Bonnie Parker—yes, both known better as Bonnie and Clyde. Enjoy!


The Great Circus Murder Part 8



Real Crime is back with more true crime! Took off last week for Thanksgiving, but here we are again with part 8 of the circus murder of ‘Honest’ John Brunen. Our last episode covered the trial. This episode informs us of an attempted jail break. Things are definitely heating up in Mount Holly, New Jersey.

And there is more true crime. We continue with the investigation into the murder of Florence Allinson. Here, the little girl Ms. Allinson was a foster parent of, gets to meet the alleged murderer of Ms. Allinson, Rufus Johnson. And there are five people arrested for the murder of Leoda Childress in North Carolina, as that investigation heats up with two Tilley’s arrested on suspicion of having written the alleged suicide note. The Great Circus Murder Part 7



This weeks episode of Real Crime features Part 7 of the great Circus Murder of ‘Honest’ John Brunen. This is now a few months later and the suspects, including Brunen’s wife, are facing the first day of the trial for murder and conspiracy to commit murder. What can I say, it’s a circus!

Also in this episode we have part 5 of the murder of Florence Allinson, that poor farmgirl in rural New Jersey. Apparently, Rufus Johnson’s latest confession has indeed implicated Smalls and now Smalls himself has broken down and confessed to his part in the murder. We also have part 2 of the mystery of the murder of a young woman in North Carolina. Her body has been exhumed and doctors are looking for clues: was it murder or suicide?


The Great Circus Murder Part 6



In this new episode of Real Crime  we have Part 6 of the Great Circus Murder of ‘Honest’ John Brunen. There has been an important arrest but investigators are sill working to find two other suspects, including the woman with the auburn hair.

We also have Part 4 of the murder of Florence Allinson in rural New Jersey. Apparently, there has been a new development where Mr. Smalls is now a suspect and in custody. But Rufus Johnson is still in jail and considered guilty.

The podcast also has the first episode of the murder of a young woman in North Carolina and it is quite the mystery since there was a note left behind claiming robbers were in the house, yet some believe it was suicide.

And finally, there is the arrest of the famous burlesque dancer Candy Barr after shooting her husband with a .22 rifle. This is all true crime. Enjoy!

In this episode of Real Crime, things are heating up in the 4th installment of the Great Circus Murder of ‘Honest’ John Brunen as more clues begin to appear, one of them being Brunen’s bulldog.

We also have part 2 of the vicious murder of a farm girl in rural New Jersey. A confession seems to have been ‘sweated’ out of Rufus Johnson. But while it all seems nice and clean, it’s not quite an open and shut case, so stay tuned!
